The present invention provides an aqueous ophthalmic solution comprising an effective amount of ketorolac which comprises carboxymethyl cellulose in an aqueous solution wherein said concentration of carboxymethyl cellulose is selected to provide an increased absorption of ketorolac in the eye of a patient that is at least 130% greater than the absorption of a compara-tive aqueous ketorolac ophthalmic solution having the same concentration of ketorolac.
La présente invention concerne une solution ophtalmique aqueuse contenant une quantité effective de kétorolac qui comprend de la carboxyméthylcellulose dans une solution aqueuse. Dans linvention, ladite concentration de carboxyméthylcellulose est choisie de façon à procurer une meilleure adsorption du kétorolac dans l'il d'un patient, cette absorption étant supérieure d'au moins 130 % à l'absorption d'une solution ophtalmique aqueuse comparative à base de kétorolac ayant la même concentration de kétorolac.
