ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Assemblies of panel units are disclosed in which the joints between adjacent panel units incorporate a special key or clip used in conjunction with a complementary cover strip. The key or clip has at least one elongate plate portion or web of which one face carries a longitudinally- extending protruberance or rib, protruding centrally therefrom, formed with a longitudinal slot or channel having grooved or serrated internal side walls adapted to engage and interlock with complementary grooves or serrations of a spigot portion of the cover strip. Longitudinal slots or grooves are also provided adjacent the external side wall surfaces of the rib or protruberance and said face of the key or clip in order to receive edge portions of other associated panel assembly elements.
