ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is a key using a synthetic resin for a grip portion comprising: a metallic main body of the key which comprises a blade portion to be serrated on both sides thereof when put to use, and a fitting portion formed in one body with the blade portion at a base end of the blade portion; and the synthetic resin- made grip portion surrounding the fitting portion, wherein the thickness of the fitting portion is smaller than the thickness of the blade portion, and the thickness of the synthetic resin-made grip portion is set small in the range from 0.9 to 1.3 times the thickness of the blade portion.
