An assembly for mounting a keyboard includes first and second members each having a clamping device, and mourning means for mounting the members for converging/diverging movements for removably placing the clamping devices in clamping engagement with a keyboard when placed therebetween. The mounting means includes a first part fixed to one of the members, a second part fixed to the other of the members, wherein the first part defines an opening for slidably supporting the second part, and thus the other of the members for converging/diverging movements, a locking device for releasably restraining manually induced diverging movement, while freely permitting convergent movement, of the members, and means for adjustably supporting an auxiliary art device support, such as a mouse support.
