A keyboard support mechanism (10) employs a mounting member (12) adapted to be fixed to a base (14), such as a desk or table top; a support (18, 34) adapted to support a keyboard; an upper link (30) having its front and rear ends connected to the support (18, 34) and the mounting member (12) by first pivot means (38) and second pivot means (40); a lower link (32) having its front end connected to the support (18, 34) by a third pivot means (42) and its rear end formed with a bearing surface (32b) slidably and pivotally engaging the second pivot means (40); and the rear end of the lower link (32) having an upwardly facing curved locking surface (32b) for engagement with a surface of the mounting member (12) for selectively maintaining the support (18, 34) at a desired vertical position relative to the mounting member (12).
