ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A keyless entry apparatus for locking and unlocking a door, trunk lid, and a window of a vehicle. The electric waves radiated from a transmitter are received by a pickup which is provided on a vehicle body in a concealed state without any external exposure which would impair the aesthetic appearance of the vehicle body. The pickup consists of a loop antenna or an electrostatic detection antenna which detects the surface currents induced on the vehicle body by the electric waves radiated from the transmitter. The pickup is disposed at a portion on which the surface currents are concentrated such as, for example, a front pillar, trunk lid and roof.
