The present invention provides a shield for overlying a keypad and restricting the view of third parties. The shield comprises a main body connectable to the keypad and a screen defined in the main body and overlying the keypad. The keypad may only be viewed through the screen by the user of the keypad. The screen may be slidable and may be provided with a film that restricts the viewing angle such that the keypad may only be viewed through the screen from within a range of angles, which range is approximately 20- centred normal to the surface of the screen The main body further provides an opening through which manual access to the keypad is permitted. The present invention finds particular use on the keypads of ATMs and point of sale PIN units.
L'invention concerne un écran de protection servant à recouvrir un clavier et à réduire sa champ de visibilité par des parties tierces. L'écran de protection comporte un corps principal qui peut être relié au clavier et un écran défini dans le corps principal et qui recouvre le clavier. Seul l'utilisateur du clavier a la possibilité de visualiser le clavier à travers l'écran. L'écran peut coulisser et peut être pourvu d'un film qui réduit l'angle de visibilité de sorte qu'il est possible de regarder à travers l'écran selon une certaine plage d'angles uniquement, laquelle plage est environ centrée à 20° perpendiculairement à la surface de l'écran. Le corps principal comprend également une ouverture qui permet d'accéder manuellement au clavier. L'invention trouve une utilisation en particulier sur des claviers de GAB et d'unités de point de vente avec NIP.
