The invention relates to kneadable, pliable bone replacement material comprising a mixture of ceramic particles containing calcium and a hydrogel or a substance that swells to form a hydrogel. The invention is characterised in that the ceramic particles are of entirely synthetic origin and that the individual ceramic particles have a porous structure that is at least partially coherent. In addition, the majority of said ceramic particles are oval in shape.

L'invention concerne un matériau de substitution osseuse pétrissable et façonnable, composé d'un mélange de particules céramiques contenant du calcium et d'un hydrogel ou d'une substance gonflant pour former un hydrogel. L'invention est caractérisée en ce que les particules céramiques sont entièrement synthétiques, chacune d'elles présente une structure poreuse partiellement communicante, et la majorité d'entre elles sont de forme ovale.
