The invention relates to a kneader for carrying out mechanical, chemical and/or thermal processes, comprising at least two shafts (5, 6), which rotate in a manner that is parallel to the axis and which are situated inside a housing having an inner wall (31). Kneading bars (24), which follow one another in a direction of rotation and in an axial direction of the shafts (5, 6) and which extend along the inner wall (31) of the housing and in the direction of the shafts (5, 6) or diagonal thereto, are located on said shafts (5, 6) while being mounted on a supporting element (22.1, 22.2, 23.1, 23.2). The paths of the kneading bars (24) on both shafts (5, 6) overlap at least partially and, during rotation, the kneading bars (24) on one shaft engage between the supporting elements (22.1, 22.2, 23.1, 23.2) on the other shaft. To this end, supporting elements (22.1, 22.2 or 23.1, 23.2) of different thicknesses are arranged in succession and in a direction of rotation (X) on the shaft (5, 6) while being situated on and/or in a radial plane (E).

Il est prévu sur les arbres (5, 6), des barres de malaxage (24), sur un élément support (22.1, 22.2, 23.1, 23.2), qui se succèdent dans le sens de rotation et dans le sens axial des arbres (5, 6) et s'étendent le long de la paroi intérieure (31) du boîtier et en direction des arbres (5, 6) ou en biais par rapport à eux. Les trajectoires des barres de malaxage (24) au niveau des deux arbres (5, 6) se chevauchent, au moins en partie, et lors de la rotation, les barres de malaxage (24) d'un arbre se trouvent en prise entre les éléments supports (22.1, 22.2, 23.2, 23.2) de l'autre arbre. A cet effet, il faut prévoir sur l'arbre (5, 6) des éléments supports (22.1, 22.2 ou 23.1, 23.2) successifs de différentes épaisseurs, dans le sens de rotation (X) sur et/ou au niveau d'un plan radial (E).
