ABSTRACT A knee orthesis comprises a thigh attachment part, a lower leg attachment part and a joint hingedly connecting both parts. In order to improve the wearing characteristics the knee orthesis comprises a diagonal strut which connects an outer upper point of the thigh attachment part to an inner lower point of the thigh attachment part by extending around the front side of the thigh.
