The present invention provides a durable, launderable hydroentangled composite that is highly suitable for skin-contacting uses. The composite is a hydroentangled composite which is pattern bonded. The composite contains two filamentous web layers containing crimped continuous filaments and a cellulosic layer containing cellulosic fibers, and the cellulosic layer is disposed between the filamentous web layers. The composite fabric is launderable as demonstrated by the fact that the composite loses less than about 2 % of its opacity, based on the initial opacity of the composite, when subjected to one laundering cycle in accordance with the ASTM 2724-87 washing and drying procedure. Additionally provided is a process for producing the composite.
La présente invention offre un composite durable, lavable en machine et hydromaillé, particulièrement adapté pour des usages impliquant des contacts avec la peau. C'est un composite hydromaillé aggloméré par structures. Le composite contient deux couches de voile filamenteuse comprenant des filaments continus bouclés et une couche de cellulose renfermant des fibres de cellulose, cette couche de cellulose étant disposée entre les deux couches de toile filamenteuse. Le tissu composite est lavable par machine et perd moins de 2 % environ de son opacité initiale lorsqu'il est soumis à un cycle de lavage selon la procédure de lavage et de séchage définie par la norme ASTM 2724-87. L'invention porte également sur un procédé de production de ce composite.
