A knitting needle for knitted sueded fabric is provided. The needle includes a shank, a hook, a latch, and an abrasive surface. The abrasive surface is defined on the shank, the hook, the latch, and any combinations thereof. A method of knitting a sueded fabric is also provided. The method includes forming an abrasive surface on a knitting needle, moving the knitting needle through a knitting cycle, and moving a yarn across the abrasive surface to form fibrils on the yarn as the knitting needle is moving through the knit-ting cycle.
Cette invention concerne une aiguille à tricoter pour tissu suédé tricoté. L'aiguille comprend une tige, un crochet, un clapet et une surface abrasive. La surface abrasive est définie sur la tige, le crochet, le clapet et toute combinaison de ceux-ci. Cette invention concerne également un procédé de tricotage d'un tissu suédé. Ce procédé consiste à former une surface abrasive sur une aiguille à tricoter, à déplacer l'aiguille à tricoter sur un cycle de tricotage, puis à déplacer un fil sur la surface abrasive afin que des fibrilles soient formées sur le fil au fur et à mesure que l'aiguille à tricoter se déplace sur le cycle de tricotage.
