ABSTRACT Horizontal planar surfaces are universally used in a variety of configurations and sizes to accommodate a desired task. In this invention, the horizontal planar surface is formed as a square module. This module can either stand alone or be combined with others by using a vertical splice at the corners to achieve a rigid continuous surface of variable size and configuration. A track system affixed to the underside of the module surface accepts re-attachable legs that can readily slide along the track and be locked into a selected location. The legs supporting the surface may be repositioned without having to dismantle the joined surface configuration. A variable leg position ensures the potential for achieving the surface stability of assorted shapes and sizes, while at the same time creating a barrier-free perimeter. The module can be disassembled for storage purposes or re-assembled and joined with other modules without the use of any special tools.
