ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A devise for sharpening a cutting tool that comprises a sharpening devise housing that has two releasably joinable side portions. Each side portion contains a sharpening element seat that has a notch for holding the sharpening element. The seats end sharpening elements are arranged in a cross or V configuration so as to provide a recess for the tool to be sharpened. Each sharpening element can be rotated and inverted within its own seat or switched to the opposed seat to provide maximum sharpening element life.
