This invention provides therapeutic compositions for the protection, treatment and repair of liver tissue. The invention relates to novel compositions comprising two or more compounds selected from the group consisting of S- adenosylmethionine, L-ergothioneine, and a compound selected from the group consisting of Milk thistle (Silybum marianum), silymarin and active components of silymarin, whether naturally, synthetically, or semi-synthetically derived, and to methods of preventing and treating liver disease and of repairing damaged liver tissue. The invention also provides a method of administering these compositions to humans or animals in need thereof.
Cette invention concerne des compositions thérapeutiques qui permettent de protéger, de traiter et de réparer des tissus du foie. Cette invention concerne de nouvelles compositions qui contiennent deux composés ou plus choisis dans le groupe S-adénosylméthionine et L-ergothionéine, ainsi qu'un composé choisi dans le groupe comprenant du laiteron (Silybum marianum), de la sylimarine et des composants actifs de sylimarine d'origine naturelle, synthétique ou semi-synthétique. Cette invention concerne également des procédés permettant de prévenir et de traiter des maladies du foie et de réparer des tissus du foie endommagés. Cette invention concerne enfin un procédé d'administration de ces compositions aux êtres humains ou aux animaux qui en ont besoin.
