ABSTRACT: In the case of a label strip intended for use in label printing and dispensing apparatuses easily detachable self-adhesive labels attached end-to-end adhere to a carrier strip. The labels are progressively fed by gradually pulling them of of the carrier strip and are released from the corner strip individually at a deflection device as the carrier strip is drawn around the said deflection device. In order that even a strip of printed labels can be dispensed with the help of a labeling apparatus having a pull-off device, a continuous backing strip is arranged under the carrier strip, said backing strip being bonded yet easily detachable from the carrier strip or the self-adhesive labels.
