The invention provides a method for fastening a polymeric label to a glass, plastic, or metal container or surface by means of a water based composition containing ac least 30% by dry weight of animal glu; that is activated into an adhesive by the following steps: (a) applying a layer of a hydrophilic solid material based on at least 30% by weight on protein from animal renderings to a polymeric label to form a hydrophilic layer that acts as an adhesive layer when activated with an aqueous medium; (b) applying a low deposition of water, a water based adhesive, water containing a cross-linking agent or an adhesive containing a cross-linking agent to the activatable hydrophilic layer sufficient enough to activate it into an adhesive and form a fastenable polymeric label; (c) fastening the fastenable polymeric label to a glass, plastic or metal container or surface; 0nd (d) allowing the polymeric label to dry on the glass, plastic or metal container or surface.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'appliquer une étiquette polymère à un contenant ou à une surface en verre, en plastique ou en métal, utilisant une composition à base d'eau contenant au moins 30 % en poids, en extrait sec, de colle animale, cette colle étant activée et transformée en adhésif. Ce procédé consiste : (a) à appliquer une couche d'une matière solide hydrophile, renfermant au moins 30 % en masse d'une protéine d'origine animal, sur une étiquette polymère, pour former une couche hydrophile qui agit comme une couche adhésive lorsqu'elle est activée avec un milieu aqueux ; (b) à appliquer une quantité faible, mais suffisante, d'eau, d'adhésif à base d'eau, d'eau contenant un agent de réticulation ou d'un adhésif contenant un agent de réticulation, sur la couche hydrophile pouvant être activée, pour activer et transformer cette dernière en adhésif et former une étiquette polymère pouvant être collée ; (c) à coller l'étiquette polymère sur un contenant ou sur une surface en verre, en plastique ou en métal ; et (d) à laisser l'étiquette polymère sécher sur le contenant ou la surface en verre, en plastique ou en métal.
