ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In labelling stations in a labelling machine, it is known to have gluing segments mounted eccentrically upon a carrier and rotating eccentrically about their own axes, a pressure element to transfer the label from the gluing element to the object and a gripping element. In this invention, a cam is used for controlling the rolling of each pressure element upon the surface of the object to be labelled by adjusting the peripheral velocity of the pressure element. Similarly, a second cam makes it possible to adapt the device to the different diameters of the object to be labelled, without displacing the centre of rotation of the label- transfer mechanism in relation to the track conveying the object.
