The internal metal supports can comprise an entire metal frame running throughout the lacrosse head or can be positioned as sections supporting areas of increased stress within the lacrosse head. Preferably the metal supports include a textured surface to increase the strength and bonding characteristics of the elements of the lacrosse head.
