A supporting apparatus for a ladder is provided, comprised of two steel bars, held parallel and affixed apart by a cross member at one end with the other end of each bar having a series of nails protruding downward to anchor the apparatus quickly and securely to a rooftop. Each bar has an upwardly-projecting portion with a loop attached thereto, to which crampons affixed to adjustable cords will be connected. Each cord is attached at its other end to a steel bar, with a pivoting crampons affixed to each end of such bar. The crampons are locked around a rung upon a ladder, providing a stable support for the ladder whether it abuts the rooftop or the apparatus.
