A shield for attachment to and removal from a lading tie-down strap for shielding the strap from learing engagement with a corner of lading or cargo. The shield is preferably molded from a plastic material such as polyurethane and is in the form of a generally rectangular shaped pad. The pad has two end portions interconnected by a transverse live hinge area. Each end portion has an integrally formed raised flap extending transversely thereacross. One of the flaps is hinged adjacent one longitudinal edge of the tab while the other flap is hinged adjacent the opposite side or edge. The distal end of each flap has a hook formation on its underside which is open toward the proximal end of the flap. In use, a tie-down strap is inserted under the flaps which may be temporarily lifted to permit insertion. One edge of the tie-down strap will be inserted in one of the hooks while the opposite edge of the strap will be inserted in the hook of the other strap.
La présente invention a pour objet un dispositif de protection amovible destiné aux ancrages pour courroie d'arrimage et servant à préserver la courroie d'arrimage contre tout risque de contact avec un coin des marchandises du chargement ou de la cargaison. De préférence, le dispositif en question est fabriqué en plastique moulé, tel du polyuréthanne, et se présente sous la forme d'un coussinet rectangulaire. Le coussinet comporte deux extrémités interconnectées par une zone charnière transversale. Chacune des extrémités comporte un rabat intégral à profil surélevé à prolongement transversal. Un des rabats est articulé au voisinage immédiat d'un des bords longitudinaux, tandis que l'autre rabat est articulé au voisinage immédiat du bord opposé. L'extrémité distale de chacun des rabats comporte une partie en forme de crochet à sa face inférieure, dont l'ouverture est orientée vers l'extrémité proximale du rabat. En cours d'utilisation, une courroie d'arrimage est insérée sous les rabats, ceux-ci étant temporairement relevés pour permettre l'insertion des courroies. Un bord de la courroie d'arrimage est inséré dans un des crochets, tandis le bord opposé de la courroie est inséré dans le crochet de l'autre courroie.
