ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Electrical devices, especially self-regulating flexible sheet heaters and circuit protection devices, comprise a laminar element of a melt-shaped PTC conduc- tive polymer, and a plurality of electrodes which are so positioned that the predominant direction of current flow is parallel to the faces of the laminar element. The electrodes are preferably positioned on one face of the laminar element and are applied by a printing pro- cess. Preferably the ratio of the average width of the electrodes to the distance between them is at least 0.1:1.
