In one aspect, the invention provides an insert that is incorporated into laminated countertops during fabrication of stock countertop material Once installed, a guide portion of the insert serves as a template for the later removal of a selected cut-out portion of the insert, to leave an opening in the countertop defined at least in part by a remaining portion of the insert In this way, the insert may for example serve as both a template for cutting a sink opening in a laminated countertop, and as a component of a sink undermounting system in the laminated countertop
Selon un aspect, l'invention concerne une insertion incorporée dans des plans de travail stratifiés pendant la fabrication dun matériau de plan de travail. Après linstallation, une partie de guidage de linsertion sert de gabarit pour le retrait ultérieur dune partie découpée sélectionnée de l'insertion, pour laisser une ouverture dans le plan de travail définie au moins en partie par une partie restante de l'insertion. De cette manière, l'insertion peut par exemple servir à la fois de gabarit pour la découpe d'une ouverture dévier dans un plan de travail stratifié, et délément constitutif d'un système de sous-évier dans le plan de travail stratifié.
