A laminate, in particular for packaging foodstuffs or stimu- lants, and a method of manufacturing such laminate. Abstract. The laminate (1) comprises at least two layers, namely an outer layer (2) consisting of a plastic film and an inner layer (5) also consisting of a plastic film, possibly with an intermediate layer (3) interposed between these, where by means of an adhesive layer (4) the inner layer (5) is joined with the outer layer (2) or the intermediate layer (3). The inner layer (5) is obtained by coextrusion of a non-foamed plastic material with a foamed plastic material to the effect that the plastic film constituting the inner layer (5) consists of a non-foamed or solid part (6) which is adhered to the outer layer (2) or the intermediate layer (3), and a foamed part (7) containing a large number of gas-filled cavities or cells (8) and forming the inner sur- face (10) of the laminate (1). The term "outer" and "inner" refer in this context to the positioning in a package made from the laminate (1). By means of the laminate (1) there is achieved a saving of material and weight together with advantages relating to processing and application compared with a similar conventional laminate. (Drawing)
