ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Sheet material comprising juxtaposed fibrous granules joined together by a binder and compressed to form lenticular particles, said sheet having opposed plane surfaces, cut portions of said particles lying in said opposed surfaces of said sheet. And a process for manufacturing sheet material, comprising mixing fibrous granules with a binder, compressing the mixture substantially uniformly and sufficiently to obtain a homogeneous block wherein the fibrous granules are in the form of lenticular particles, slicing the block to form at least one sheet and subjexting the sheet to heat treatment to promote the migration of the binder.
