ABSTRACT The invention relates to a laminated paper board which is very stiff and lends itself well to creasing and which does not impart undesired smell or taste to liquid foods, consisting of at least three layers. According to the invention the board material consists of at least one central layer of cellulosic material of high bulk, i.e. low density, and on each side of the central layer/s surface layers of higher strength and ductility than the central layer/s, the primary purpose of the central layer/s being to keep the surface layers apart, thus providing the laminated paper board with a combination of properties which is desirable, especially for Gable Top containers.
