LAMINATED PRINTING PLATE APPARATUS AND METHOD ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A photoengravable, laminated printing plate comprises a sheet of tempered, cold rolled steel in the order of 0.005 to 0.015 inch thick, a sheet of magnesium in the order of 0.020 to 0.030 inch thick, and an interposed layer of adhesive which consists of an homogeneous layer of bubble-free cured epoxy. The thickness of the magnesium is at least as great as the desired relief, when photoengraved. The adhesive is free of non- compressible materials. The plate is produced in a press by mating the sheets with the adhesive uniformly dispersed between them, and removing the assembled plate from the press after the adhesive has cured.
