LAMINATES OF METAL AND POLYESTER FILM ABSTRACT A laminate (10) of aluminium or aluminium alloy (3) sheet and an amorphous linear polyester according to formula (I), in which A is an integer, R1 is a divalent hydrocarbon group at least 60 mole % of which consists of p-phenylene groups, R2 is a divalent hydrocarbon group at least 60 mole % of which consists of -C2-H4- groups with A=1, having a molecular weight of at least 14,000 as measured by gel permeation chromatography. The laminate is suitable for deep drawing to form container bodies.
