A laminating resin is made from (1) an unsaturated polyester resin, (2) a diacrylate or dimethacrylate of alkoxylated bisphenol-A, and (3) either (A) vinyl toluene, (B) ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, or (C) styrene, divinyl benzene or a combination thereof. The resin achieves excellent laminating resin properties, and is significantly inhibited from emitting volatiles during use. A method of laminating a solid formed body with the resin above is also described.

Une résine pour stratifiés est réalisée avec (1) une résine polyester insaturé, (2) un diacrylate ou un diméthacrylate d'un bisphénol A alcoxylé et (3) (A) du vinyltoluène, (B) ou de l'éthylène glycol diméthacrylate ou (C) du styrène, du divinylbenzène ou une combinaison de ceux-ci. La résine est excellente pour la réalisation de stratifiés et elle émet très peu de matières volatiles en cours d'utilisation. On décrit également un procédé pour réaliser un corps solide stratifié, avec la résine ci-dessus.
