A lamp clamp for a lamp assembly is provided. The lamp assembly has a lamp and a lamp socket. The lamp socket has a truncated conical body with a pair of opposing and tapering flat surfaces over a portion thereof, and with each of the flat surfaces having a lamp end and a wire end. The lamp clamp incorporates a back portion, first and second clamping portions, and first and second front portions, and a support member. The back portion, first and second clamping portions, and first and second front portions frame an inner periphery, which is configured to conform to the truncated conical body and flat surfaces of the lamp socket proximate the lamp ends thereof. When the lamp assembly is clamped within the lamp clamp, the inner periphery is configured to exert pressure upon the lamp socket so as to retain the lamp assembly within the lamp clamp.
