ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Synthetic plastic lamp holders for Christmas lights and the like are usually clipped to an eavestrough and holds the cord string of lights at spaced intervals. They tend to be unsatisfactory because of the lack of stability particu- larly in view of different dimensions and constructions of eavestrough. This device comprises a holder or hanger which includes a pair of resilient prongs at the rear of a stand- ing part which engages the inside of an eavestrough and are spaced apart. A pair of resilient jaws extend from the other side of the standing part into which a lamp holder or socket may be clipped. The spaced apart resilient fin- gers together with the construction of the standing part and associated structure, gives stability regardless of the dimensions of the eavestrough and prevents the wind from moving the lamp holder once installed.
