ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A lamp protection arrangement including a lamp, a socket, and a junction socket having a base portion and a socket portion so as to attach the lamp to the socket. The junction socket includes a connecting terminal, a first terminal to be connected to the central electrode of the socket, a second terminal to be connected to the central electrode of the lamp, and a negative temperature coefficient thermistor connected between the first terminal and the second terminal.
