A lamp socket assembly has a lamp socket (10) defined with a hollow area with a substantially cylindrical periphery (11) to retain a decorative light (30) therein. Two pairs of ribs (15a, 15b, 16a, 16b) are lengthwise formed on the cylindrical periphery (11). When assembling wires (20a,20b,20c) into the socket (10), a first wire (20) provided with a first conductive plate (21) is secured by the first pair of ribs (15a,15b) to electrically contact one terminal (31) of the decorative light (32). The remaining two wires (20b, 20c) are electrically joined by a second conductive plate (22) that is retained by the second pair of ribs (16a, 16b) to contact with the other terminal (31) of the decorative light (30).
