The present invention relates to a land mine disabling or destroying system. Thesystem is comprised of a mine disabling and destroying device, a rocket, a support unit for housing the mine disabling or destroying device and for mounting the rocket in a launching attitude. The mine disabling and destroying device is comprised of a first resilient cable unit having a first end and an opposite second end. The first resilient cable unit is secured at the first end to the support unit. A first rigid structure is connected to the second end of the first resilient cable unit. A mesh arrangement is provided having a first end and an opposite second end. The first end is connected to the first rigid structure. A plurality of explosives is arranged in a rectangular array on the mesh arrangement. A detonator connects the support unit to the plurality of explosives. A second rigid structure is secured to the second end of the mesh arrangement. A second resilient cable unit connects the second rigid structure to the rocket.
