A viewing accessory for lap-top computers having a base and with a lid and screen, and having a lens support frame and a lens, the lens having a length and width dimension substantially equal to the length and width of a viewing screen of the lap-top computer, right and left hand panels on respective right and left hand sides of the support frame, and being substantially opaque, the panels being movably and/or removably interconnected with right and left hand edges of the frame, feet on the free edges of respective right and left hand panels, and, releasable attachment devices on the feet for releasably attaching them to the lid of the lap-top computer, on either side of the screen. The accessory reduces eyestrain by increasing the apparent image and/or text displayed on the screen, and also provides greater privacy for the text on the screen. The accessory can be detached and folded up and carried with the computer.
