A method for forming a large imaging panel by assembling a plurality of smaller submodules (17), the method comprising providing an adhesive filler (20) between two abutting edges (43) of a first and a second submodule, and forming a degassing channel (48) in the adhesive filler extending along the length of the abutting edges. The method may further comprise adhering the submodules onto a top surface of a base plate (13), beveling the lower abutting edges (21) of the submodules, and forming the degassing channel in the space between the beveled edges and the base plate. The method may produce an X-ray image capture panel comprising a base plate, a plurality of discrete array submodules juxtaposed over the base plate, each adjacent to at least one other submodule to form a two-dimensional mosaic of submodules having seams therebetween, each seam being filed with filler material (20) and a vented channel (48) in the seam adjacent to the top surface of the base plate; and a continuous radiation detecting layer (23) disposed over the plurality of array submodules.

L'invention concerne un procédé de formation d'un grand panneau d'imagerie par assemblage de plusieurs petits sous-modules (17). Le procédé consiste à disposer une charge adhésive (20) entre deux bords adjacents (43) d'un premier et d'un deuxième sous-modules, puis à former dans la charge adhésive un canal de dégazage (48) s'étendant le long des bords adjacents. Le procédé peut consister en outre à fixer les sous-modules sur une face supérieure d'une plaque de base (13), à chanfreiner les bords inférieurs adjacents (21) des sous-modules, et à former le canal de dégazage dans l'espace créé entre les bords chanfreinés et la plaque de base. Le procédé permet de produire un panneau de saisie d'images aux rayons X qui comprend une plaque de base; une pluralité de sous-modules tableau discret juxtaposés sur la plaque de base, chaque sous-module étant adjacent à au moins un autre sous-module pour former une mosaïque bidimensionnel de sous-modules présentant entre eux des jointures remplies d'une matière de charge (20) et un canal dégazé (48) adjacent à la face supérieure de la plaque de base; et une couche de détection de rayonnement indépendant (23) disposée sur la pluralité de sous-modules tableau.
