IMPROVEMENTS IN LARGE BORE TUBE TRANSPORT SYSTEMS Abstract The proposed large bore tube transport system is incorporating con- tainers with swivel wheels for better stability and fixed inclined wheels for unloading process, flexible pantograph gaskets/seals ba- sed on mobile/movable sealing elements attached to the said panto- graph wheels rolling on the tube, copying the tube and keeping a ve- ry small gap between tube and the said gaskets/seals; also the sys- tem has loading units based on belt/apron feeders each having 2 dri- ves, one in stand-by position, each having a oneway clutch so that to allow the other to operate and the said loading unit having one, two or more said feeders in tandem so that all these feeders, drives will assure a 100% availability/dependability/reliability of the loading system any time for the tube transport system; also the tube transport system has expansion joints made like two tubes one in another, the inner one being ground at the edges so that to be a gradually smooth transition from one tube to another for the container wheels to roll and also to let the tubular structure to expand/contract freely un- der the influence of temperature.
