Large-capacity liferaft (1, 10) with an inflatable outer rim (2) forming a buoyancy tube and a central bottom (3) attached to the said tube. The central bottom (3) comprises at least one section (4) designed to serve as a platform to receive individuals boarding the liferaft and at least one section (5) where passengers on board the liferaft are to be grouped, the latter area (5) occupying a substantially larger portion of the bottom than the so-called boarding platform (4).
