In a watercraft storage system a "wishbone" or U-shaped cradle liftable and rotatable by an overhead crane comprises adjustable air filled hull supports to either side of a boat hull and a keel support toward the stem of the watercraft. The cradle central opening clears a cantilever storage rack support beam assembly allowing the watercraft to be lowered onto or raised from the cantilever storage rack support beam assembly by an overhead traveling crane. To substantially reduce any longitudinal swaying of the cradle and watercraft during raising and lowering, a system of diagonal anti-sway bracing cables that automatically retract and extend is employed. In the preferred embodiment, the cradle is lowered into a water-filled channel within the storage structure to re-float the watercraft. A watercraft to be stored can be brought into the channel which contains alignment means to accurately position the watercraft over the cradle. The cradle can thereby be lifted properly, moved to a storage rack location and accurately stored on the cantilever storage rack support beam assembly.
La présente invention concerne un système d'entreposage destiné à une embarcation dans lequel un 'wishbone' ou un berceau en forme de U, pouvant être soulevé et tourné par un pont roulant, comprend des supports de coque réglables remplis d'air disposés des deux côtés de la coque d'une embarcation et un support de quille placé vers l'étrave de l'embarcation. L'ouverture centrale du berceau libère de l'espace pour un ensemble poutres de support de rayonnage d'entreposage en porte-à-faux, ce qui permet à l'embarcation d'être abaissée ou soulevée depuis ledit ensemble par un pont roulant. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, le berceau est abaissé dans un canal rempli d'eau situé à l'intérieur de la structure d'entreposage afin de renflouer l'embarcation. Une embarcation à entreposer peut être disposée dans le canal qui contient des moyens d'alignement afin de disposer l'embarcation avec précision au-dessus du berceau. Le berceau peut alors être soulevé correctement, déplacé vers un emplacement de rayonnage d'entreposage et entreposé avec précision sur l'ensemble poutres de support de rayonnage d'entreposage en porte-à-faux.
