The invention relates to a laryngeal mask airway device (1) for insertion into a patient to provide an airway passage to the patient's glottic opening, the device (1) comprising an airway tube (2), a mask (3) attached to the airway tube (2), the mask (3) comprising a body (4) having a distal end (5) and a proximal end (6), a peripheral inflatable cuff (7), and defining an outlet (8) for gas, the mask (3) being connected to the airway tube (2) for gaseous communication between the tube (2) and the mask, the distal end of the mask being ventrally displaced, relative to the proximal end.
L'invention concerne un appareil respiratoire pour masque laryngé (1) à insérer dans un patient afin de procurer un passage respiratoire dans l~ouverture glottique du patient. L'appareil (1) comprend un tube respiratoire (2), un masque (3) attaché au tube respiratoire (2), le masque (3) comprenant un corps (4) ayant une extrémité distale (5) et une extrémité proximale (6), un coussinet périphérique gonflable (7), et un orifice de sortie (8) pour le gaz. Le masque (3) est attaché au tube respiratoire (2) pour des échanges gazeux entre le tube (2) et le masque, l'extrémité distale du masque étant déplacée ventralement par rapport à l'extrémité proximale.
