The disclosed laryngeal mask airway device (500) includes an inflatable cuff (130) and an airway tube (510). The inflatable cuff defines a central opening (136) at least when inflated. The cuff is insertable through a mouth of a patient to an inserted location within the patient. The cuff surrounds a glottic opening of the patient when the cuff is inflated and at the inserted location. The airway tube extends from a proximal end (512) to a distal end (514). The airway tube defines an internat passage, an anterior portion (510f), a posterior portion (51 Op), a left portion (510-left), and a right portion (510-right). An airway passage extends from the proximal end of the tube through the internai passage to the glottic opening when the cuff is inflated and at the inserted location. The anterior portion is characterized by a thinner wall thickness than the left and right portions. The posterior portion is characterized by a thinner wall thickness than the left and right portions.
Le dispositif (500) pour les voies aériennes d'un masque laryngé selon la présente invention comprend un ballonnet gonflable (130) et un tube d'intubation (510). Le ballonnet gonflable définit une ouverture centrale (136) au moins à l'état gonflé. Le ballonnet peut être inséré par la bouche d'un patient jusqu'à un endroit d'insertion dans le corps du patient. Le ballonnet entoure un orifice glottique du patient lorsque le ballonnet est gonflé et placé à l'endroit d'insertion. Le tube d'intubation s'étend entre une extrémité proximale (512) et une extrémité distale (514). Le tube d'intubation définit un passage interne, une partie antérieure (510f), une partie postérieure (510p), une partie gauche (510-gauche) et une partie droite (510-droite). Un passage de voies aériennes s'étend depuis la partie proximale du tube, par le passage interne, jusqu'à l'orifice glottique lorsque le ballonnet est gonflé et placé à l'endroit d'insertion. La partie antérieure se caractérise en ce que l'épaisseur de sa paroi est plus mince que pour les régions gauche et droite. La partie postérieure se caractérise par une paroi moins épaisse que celle des parties gauche et droite.
