Methods and devices for laser cremation and autopsy. One or more laser beams are used to destroy at least a substantial portion of the body of a deceased human or animal. The destruction of the body may occur in a section by section fashion. In embodiments used for cremation virtually all of the body, including soft tissue, body fluid and bone, is vaporized or destroyed. In embodiments used for autopsy, the internal organs and/or anatomical structures may be grossly examined and photographs or images may be made between some or all of the sections. Such photographs or images may be analyzed for evidence of cause of death and/or may be compared to normal parameters to ascertain whether abnormalities are present. The gas or vapor resulting from the laser destruction of the body may be filtered, heated to remove pathogens and/or may be analyzed to determine the presence or amount of certain chemical analytes.
L'invention concerne des procédés et des dispositifs d'incinération et d'autopsie au laser. Au moins un faisceau laser est utilisé pour détruire au moins une partie importante du corps d'un animal ou d'un être humain décédé. Ladite destruction du corps peut se produire dans une section et, ce, section par section. Dans des modes de réalisation portant sur l'incinération, pratiquement tout le corps, y compris les tissus mous, le liquide organique et les os, est vaporisé ou détruit. Dans des modes de réalisation portant sur l'autopsie, les organes internes et/ou les structures anatomiques peuvent être grossièrement examinés et des photographies ou des images peuvent être prises entre certaines ou toutes les sections. Ces photographies ou images peuvent être analysées en vue de rechercher les causes de la mort et/ou comparées à des paramètres normaux pour déterminer si des anomalies sont présentes. Le gaz ou la vapeur émanant de la destruction au laser du corps peuvent être filtrés, chauffés afin d'éliminer des agents pathogènes et/ou analysés pour déterminer la présence ou la quantité de certains analytes chimiques.
