ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A laser device comprises a Fabry-Perot etalon for selecting a wavelength of laser oscillation, a wavelength monitoring device for monitoring a laser beam emitted from an oscillation wavelength changing type laser oscillator and a pressure adjuster for adjusting a pressure of gas in a gap in the Fabry-Perot etalon by the output signal of the wavelength monitoring device. The Fabry-Perot etalon is received in a sealed container filled with gas.
