The present invention relates to an edge emitting laser device (10) with at least two laser structures (1, 1b, 1c, 1d) arranged in one and the same optical cavity. The laser structures are substantially arranged in the optical direction of propagation and each laser structure comprises an active region, said active regions being electrically connected in series.
