A laser diode module which can be manufactured easily in a short time at low cost and has a high long-term reliability and its manufacturing method are disclosed. A lensed fiber (8) is aligned with a laser diode device (LD device) (3). The front sides of a ferrule (4) near the LD device (3) are made held portions (9) and sandwiched by a ferrule support component (6). The rear sides of the ferrule (4) are moved around the held portions (9) and thereby the lensed fiber (8) is re-aligned with the LD device (3). On both sides of the rear of the ferrule (4), ferrule fixing components (10) guided by guide sections (11) are provided at intervals of about 0 to 5 µm between the ferrule (4) and the ferrule fixing components (10). After the ferrule fixing components (10) are fixed to the guide sections (11), the ferrule (4) is welded to the ferrule fixing components (10) by a YAG laser beam.
La présente invention concerne, d'une part un module à diode laser de fiabilité élevée au long terme, et de fabrication rapide et peu coûteuse, et d'autre part le procédé de fabrication correspondant. En l'occurrence, on commence par aligner une fibre à lentille (8) sur une diode laser (3). Les bords antérieurs d'une férule (4) au voisinage de la diode laser (3) sont constitués en parties maintenues (9) et pris en sandwich par un support de férule (6). Les bords postérieurs de la férule (4) sont rabattus autour des parties maintenues (9), ce qui fait que la fibre à lentille (8) se réaligne sur la diode laser (3). De part et d'autre de l'arrière de la férule (4), des fixations de férule (10) maintenues dans des guides (11) sont réparties à intervalles d'environs 0 µm à 5 µm entre la férule (4) et les fixations de férule (10). Une fois que les fixations de férule (10) sont fixées dans les guides (11), un faisceau de laser YAG suffit à souder la férule (4) aux fixations de férule (10).
