- 1 - Abstract An operating device for operating intravascular surgery using a laser directs laser light onto a diseased part inside a blood vessel. The operating device comprises a catheter accommodating both an image transmission path for transmitting an image from inside the blood vessel and a laser light path for directing the laser light to the diseased part. A control unit controls the whole system on the basis of an endoscopy image and a spectrum analyzed result. The treatment can be performed reliably and automatically while monitoring the condition all the time.
