The invention relates to a device for a surgical navigation system, for defining the position of a straight line determined by the operator within a three-dimensional system of coordinates, in a area being operated on. The device comprises a body (1) with a surface (2) and at least three markers (3) which emit waves (19). The position of said markers within the three- dimensional system of coordinates can be determined by a position-detecting device belonging to the surgical navigation system. A laser (4) mounted on said body (1) emits a laser beam (5) directed away from the body (1), this laser beam having a geometrical central beam (6) and a wave length in the visible range. The laser beam is emitted in a geometrically defined position in relation to the markers (3) so that the position of the central beam (6) in relation to the three-dimensional system of coordinates can be calculated from the measured position of said markers (3) by a computer also belonging to the surgical navigation system.
L'invention concerne un dispositif destiné à un système de navigation chirurgicale et permettant de définir la position d'une ligne droite déterminée par l'opérateur dans le système tridimensionnel de coordonnées dans la zone d'opération concernée. Ce dispositif comprend un corps (1) doté d'une surface (2) et d'au moins trois marqeurs (3) émettant des ondes (19) et dont la position dans le système tridimensionnel de coordonnées peut être déterminée par un dispositif de détection de position appartenant au système de navigation chirurgicale. Un laser (4) fixé au corps (1) émet un faisceau laser dirigé dans le sens opposé du corps (1). Ce faisceau laser (5) a un faisceau central géométrique (6) et sa longueur d'onde se situe dans la plage visible. Le faisceau laser (5) est émis par rapport au marqueur (3) dans une position géométrique telle que la position du faisceau central (6) par rapport au système tridimensionnel de coordonnées peut être calculée à partir de la position mesurée du marqueur (3) par un ordinateur appartenant aussi au système de navigation chirurgicale.
