PR?CIS DE LA DIVULGATION: Laser à décharge dans un écoulement transversal turbulent. Un gaz actif à base de CO2 pénètre sous pression, dans une chambre à décharge par des orifices d'injection percés dans la face amont de cette chambre. Ces orifices laissent des parties pleines importantes autour d'eux dans cette face de sorte que le gaz forme des jets divergents jusqu'à une grille de sortie qui constitue une anode commune. Des cathodes sont alimentées séparément par un bloc et engendrent des décharges qui sont élargies sur les bords de ces jets par des courants de recirculation gazeuse de grande ampleur, ce qui permet d'augmenter la puissance électrique injectée. L'invention s'applique notamment aux lasers de puissance.
