ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A latch assembly for securing together a pair of members, the latch assembly comprising a hook which is located on one of the members and which includes a first serrated surface having undercut teeth, and a one-piece latch which is located on the other of the members and which includes a relatively fixed portion, and a pivotal lever portion extending from the fixed portion and moveable between engaged and disengaged positions. The lever portion includes a second serrated surface which is engageable with the first serrated surface when the lever is in the engaged position to permit sliding contact of the serrated surfaces with respect to each other in one direction and to prevent sliding contact of the serrated surfaces with respect to each other in a direction opposite the one direction.
