ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: According to the present invention, there is provided a partition apparatus for a bathing or shower cabin, comprising at least one slideable partition; horizontal rail means for guiding sliding of the at least one partition; and vertical U-shaped frame members each comprising a crosspiece having first and second sides thereof opposite each other. The cross- piece comprises a first limb and a second limb projecting from the first side. These first and second limbs are spaced apart and define together with the crosspiece a first recess for receiving a terminal portion of the rail means. The cross- piece also comprises a third limb. This third limb projects from the second side and defines together the crosspiece a second recess capable of receiving a further partition. The third limb is able to be attached to a barrier surface. Project- ing means are provided, which have a first surface detachably connected to a portion of the second side of the crosspiece, a second surface aligned with the second limb when the first surface is connected to the portion of the crosspiece, and a third surface attachable to the barrier surface, this portion being located so that the projecting means is spaced apart from the third limb.
